Common Questions
A few straight answers.
How long does sod take to root?
New sod usually roots within two to three weeks under good conditions, though full establishment can take closer to a month. Keep foot traffic light on it until it's rooted in.
How often should I water new sod?
Water new sod daily, sometimes twice a day in hot weather, for the first one to two weeks. Once it's rooted, you can cut back to a normal watering schedule.
Do I need to winterize my sprinkler system?
Yes. A system left full of water over winter risks cracked pipes and blown fittings once a hard freeze hits. Sprinkler installation, repair and maintenance is one of the services we handle, and that line of work covers getting a system ready for the cold.
How much do you charge?
Every property is different, so we start with a free estimate rather than a number over the phone. Ask about senior discounts too.
